A Special Easter Surprise

Tawny owls have nested every year in a box we put up for them in one of our big pine trees over four years ago. On Easter Saturday we were delighted to see a fluffy face framed in the entrance to their box.

On searching the trees, we found another Easter chick perched out in the open! This one seems to have left the box at a much younger age than we have seen them emerge in previous years.
