About Wildscope

Wildscope is a new venture to establish an online resource of publication quality images available through the Internet. In the past our images have appeared in the Illustrated London News, BBC Wildlife Magazine, British Wildlife, Natural World and Colin Baxter's WorldLife Library Series, as well as a range of publications by the Countryside Council for Wales, Scottish Natural Heritage, English Nature, local authorities and NGOs.

Wildscope is based on the work of Mick Baines and Maren Reichelt.

 

  

     

Mick has a background in wildlife conservation with a particular interest in marine mammals and seabirds. Much of his work has been based in Wales, but he has also taken many photographs while travelling in places as far afield as China, Kenya, Senegal and Brazil.

  

Since studying marine biology, Maren has pursued a particular interest in mammals and birds, a fascination that took off during a study period in Australia. She is also a keen traveller and her portfolio includes images from Northwest Africa and the Mediterranean.
